September 13-17, 2010
The ASSYST Project strongly supports the participation of different categories of scientists in attending scientific events. Our intention is to provide financial support of up to 1000 Euro per person (covering conference fees and travel) for participation at the ECCS conference. The total amount of money dedicated for this action each year can not exceed 8000 Euros in total and we will fund lowest cost options for travel and accommodation so that as many people as possible can benefit.
The competition is open to all potential participants under the following criteria:
(a) Participants belong to an under-represented minority, e.g. women, ethnic minorities, disabled, etc. (documental proof may be asked for).
(b) Participants that have not attended ECCS before
(c) Participants that have not previously received a bursary from ASSYST
(c) Participants presenting a paper or poster
(d) Participants early in their scientific career
(e) After attending the conference beneficiaries must provide a half page email report on the scientific benefits gained from this bursary
Applications may be sent via email to Carmen Costea, leader of the ASSYST work package on "Coordinating Female Scientists and Minorities", Email: prof.costea@gmail.com under the subject “Application for an ECCS bursary” by the 30th June 2010. Decisions will be announced by 15th July 2010.
